Despite being born and raised in Middletown, Ohio, Emily is no stranger to the south. She started
vacationing with her family on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina at the age of seven. Her family
made at least yearly trips to the island but also managed to visit St. Simon’s Island, Kiawah Island,
Isle of Palms, and both Charleston and Savannah over the years. After graduating from Xavier
University in 2005 with her BSN, she spent a year working in the operating room in her hometown
hospital before driving cross-country to work as a travel nurse in beautiful La Jolla, California.
Emily moved back to Cincinnati in December 2006 and found her niche working in the ENT service
in the OR at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. In 2014, Emily made the decision to go back to school
to obtain her MSN to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Upon completion of her degree, she was
offered a position with the ENT department at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She worked with the
ENT group until September 2021 at which time she sold her home in Columbia-Tusculum
(Cincinnati), packed her belongings, and relocated to Charleston, South Carolina. Emily worked for
a small, private pediatric practice on John’s Island before accepting the position with Coastal ENT.

Emily moved to Savannah in October and although she’s still getting acclimated to the area, she
has found many things to make it feel like home. She loves shopping and has already discovered
several local boutiques that will satisfy her retail therapy requirement. Emily also enjoys spending
time at the beach so expect to see her lounging on Tybee on weekends and when weather permits!
She loves to eat and will definitely have her work cut out for her in a city known for its food. And
to balance out all the delicious southern food she plans to consume, Emily focuses on trying to be
active most days of the week. She loves going to spin classes (or spinning on her bike at home)
and takes walks or goes for runs on the beach. Emily has one cat, Baxter, who is 15 years old and
living his best “retired” life! She is also an avid sports fan with the Xavier Musketeers being her
go-to college basketball team and the Cincinnati Bengals her most-loved NFL team.
